‘Against all Odds’ [a nurse’s journey as a patient in the ICU and the story he survived to share] Part 2

This is Part 2 of 2. In this episode, Edgardo, an emergency room nurse, talks about his recovery process after being discharged from the intensive care unit. He shares some ways he feels like the healthcare system can fail patients after leaving the hospital, his recovery from being dependent on narcotics, and ways that the healthcare system is broken for patients and for healthcare workers. It’s important to hear these stories to better understand how we can improve the future of healthcare, so thank you again to Gardo for coming on and sharing his story!
